I absolutely love Hedi’s photographs, but I must say that for some looking at them is probably going to give a lot of people a strange, subconscious hankering to eat some ribs. Odd, that.
In the 8th photo she looks emaciated. Like she’s an ironing board and not a woman. Natalia Vodianova has more curves than Sasha, and that’s saying something. Natalia also looks way healthier.
In the pics where her hair is falling over her face I could swear one might think she’s Kate Moss.
I don’t even need French Vogue, just open the TV to FTV and watch all the little models strut down the runway on what appear to be toothpicks and not only do I not feel hungry but I also have a strong desire to do some pushups or run 3 and a half miles….
yes more food please! some people are just built differently. i’ve always been super thin (my mom is skinny) but in my older age i’ve gotten a bit of a pot belly from one to many jack and cokes ;o) Love your blog!
this really is not beauty- cos its not healthy. ive been underweight since age 14 (been a decade), cos thats my metabolism- just too fast. my friends kept on envying me, cos i could “eat anything& everything”. and i kept on evying them cos they didnt feel dizzy the moment they delay their meal for 15 minutes. plus, gaining weight could be a signal from your body that u r eating unhealthy food- and i dont get that signal.
and i didnt eat “everyting”: i spent years calculating what to eat and visiting doctors- cos my blood tension would go down drastically if i ate too sweet or too acidic things when im hungry. i’d feel dizzy, or even faint, when tired. this is a huge, annoying constraint in life. the only thing the docs told me was to gain weight. it took me years, i just couldnt put on weight. now that i gained 4 kgs, finally, im happy with felling healthy. overweight could be a problem, but underweight is equally bad.
and to be honest, i firstly thought this was an awareness-raising campaign or something on anorexia, esp #3 and #8.
it really is not beauty. i mean, unless u wanna go for french vogue…
these photos are absolutley gorgeous. so high fashion; i love them i love your blog! would you like to link me and i will link you back? love form blossomclothingx
Hoo boy. I think skinny can look really sexy but when that many ribs are showing I think it looks so malnourished and unwell. Ach fashion! Why make the world hungry for something that we know isn’t good for us? It just doesn’t make sense.

Yeah, this is what real women look like. Real women who want to succumb to osteoporosis in their later years.

you can see her ribcage – not exactly inspiring. it makes me want to give her my food because she obviously needs it more than me.

Digusting… It’s so sad that our society finds this famine/bony/starvation look beautiful. This is not what women were intende to look like.

Sorry – I’m into the Monica Bellucci style. I am into sports, but dieting to look anorectic, not for me.
Feel good in your own skin.
