    just got back…
    it had to be seen: wall to wall fashionistas going apeshit on Stella racks. Everything was sold out in the first half hour. and I couldn’t even find the trousers in my size because those were sold out at a press party the night before! That’s the fashion food chain for ya…

    Report from the H&M NYC trenches on Stella Day. Showed up at 10:30am (stores open at 10)curious to check it out and there was a scary scary mob in the middle of the store moving absolutely no where and standing slack jawed. I asked where the clothes were (or used to be) and a lemming explained that most were gone and that the mob was waiting for people to come out of the dressing room so they could get their cast offs. At this point a woman comes out with a sweater or tunic of some sort, waves it around and is soon overrun by fashion victims. I high tailed it out @ that point. It is not that serious!!

    and the sales people screaming out “STELLA T-SHIRT, SIZE 46. GOING ONCE, GOING TWICE, GONE!”

    OMG! Sounds absolutely crazy to me! I always bemoan the loss that we have here, for not getting H&M in Singapore. I love that label!

    It sounds like a stampede to me, is it worth getting stomped on for a piece of McCartney? The clothes look gorgeous to me, esp love those stylish pants and was considering asking my Birmingham fren to buy them for me. But… I guess everything is out by now eh?

    But the stampede takes the fun out of fashion, out of shopping! Bleah. Can we have more McCartney? Hopefully they’ll relaunch it during the X’mas period when I’m there???

    They’re supposed to have new Stella stuff when they launch two H&M stores in San Francisco Nov. 19th. If you missed out, book a flight.
